Where was shaun?

A very chilly New Year’s Day walk along the river by Wivenhoe. It’s been a great Christmas all the best for 26!

Emma and I went to see the Reytons at Wembley Area on Saturday night. It as such a good night they played all the bangers and the crowd were so up for it. Johnny Yerrell said that they had been told that they would never play Wembley Arena so I think this was a validation night for the band.

They have such a strong following, I didn’t hear a single southern accent everyone seemed to have come down to support their band.

Went with Ben, Glynn and Abbey to see Radiohead at the O2 last night. What a show it was! The stage was right in the middle of the auditorium and it was encircled by a dozen screens which initially encircled the stage so the band were almost playing in a cage. Once the drums kicked in during the opening song, 2+2=5 the screens raise up revealing the band. It was absolutely amazing. They played 25 songs from an ever changing set list of over 40 songs so far.

In Rainbows is my favourite album and they did about 6 tracks from that album including Weird fishes, which was just fantastic. An awesome night.

This Weekend Emma was 18, I say it like that because it seems quite amazing that she is 18 already, the time just seems to have gone SO quickly.

For her birthday we hired the local cinema for the evening, it was such a cool evening, everyone arrived and had snacks and chatted while loads of pictures of Emma and her friends growing up were displayed on the big screen and then we all watched ‘Hot Fuzz’. It was great to see it again on the big screen.

As a lover of all things gothic, we had to make Emma a gothic cake!

After the first half an hour you think, where is this going? And then it settles down to be tense, moving, funny and edge of your seat thrill ride. Watch it now!
