Day Out In London

Went to London today to visit the London Archives who are holding “A London in the Second World War” exhibition. It included accounts from Londoners of what it was like to live through the blitz and how they took shelter in the underground.

Also included was some pictures from the Cross and Tibbs collection. The photographs were taken by two City of London policeman. It was incredible to read some of the accounts and how Londoners had to demonstrate to be allowed to shelter in the underground. The stations would regularly have 100 to 150 000 people sheltering every night.

After the exhibition we went to see the concert film from Depeche Mode.

So so good and great to see it on a big screen.
