A true story of one family’s fight to survive and to be reunited after the 2004 Tsunami that struck Thailand.
The film starts off with an incredible re-enactment of the tidal wave and its devastation, directed by Juan Antonio Bayona (who directed the Orphanage) in the most graphic and brutal way with amazing cinematography. Naomi Watts received awards for her performance but I think the 16 year old Tom Holland gives a fantastic performance as Lucas her oldest Son.
